We are recruiting for a research and drafting counsel position for our public interest litigation department to be seconded to our Nairobi Office. The main purpose of the role is to offer personalized Legal services to a wide range of public institutions, corporate bodies and individual clientele.

Research and drafting skills and methodology
Key responsibilities
Undertaking legal research
Preparations of quality legal documents or pleading in line with the client’s instructions and within the set timelines as well as observing and managing the processes
Advising public institutions, corporate bodies and individual clients in regard to various transactions or cases handled by the firm
Advising clients competently and confidently on the technical aspect of a wide range of matters, particularly especially in the field of public interest litigation.
To effectively monitor the ongoing litigation, including adherence to, to the internal process
Advising and updating clients on the development of the law
Preparing periodic reports and forwarding the same to clients and partners in line with the clients reporting calendar
Participating in the knowledge development in the department and the firm at large by undertaking any necessary training relevant to your areas of specialization.
Education , Qualification and Experience
A degree in Law
Professional qualification- Post Graduate diploma from the Kenya school of law
Minimum 3 years work experience post admission
Involvement in public litigation practice an added advantage
Analytical skills and with a good sense of urgency
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation and benefits will be negotiable and commensurate with the experience and demonstrated value
