This position is responsible for the preparation of payroll (Lecturers, Casuals and Consultants) payroll reconciliation and filing statutory returns.
Main Responsibilities Of The Jobs
Work closely with the Head of Finance, HR, Training department and Branch Managers/ Training officers to prepare accurate inputs, deductions and computations for monthly payroll processing for Lecturers and Consultants.
Generate accurate and timely monthly payment vouchers for statutory deductions such as PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, HELB and other authorized pay deductions.
Timely submission of deductions to relevant authorities and beneficiaries in compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accounting controls by verifying documentation and approvals as per recommended policies and procedures by ensuring they are posted in the correct account and fully supported.
Provide assistance in the preparation of monthly payroll cost analysis and reports by including summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave days, and non-taxable wages to support the budget claims.
Work with internal and external auditors for timely conclusion of payroll audits and to follow up recommendations thereof.
Manage the Staff debtors account and ensuring staff debt is maintained within institute’s Finance policy to maintain the staff debt account.

Minimum level of academic qualification, skills and knowledge required to perform effectively in the role: Bachelor degree in Finance or accounts from a recognised
Minimum level of personal and professional experience required to perform effectively in the role: Certified Public Accountant Part Two(2)
Minimum months or years of experience required to have to be appointed to the position : Three (3) years of relevant experience
